NUIM Law has a well-stocked library with a growing collection of treatises and journals reflecting the research and teaching needs of faculty and students. Some of the library's electronic resources are below.

  • Academic Search Premier (EBSCO Publishing)

    Multidisciplinary database providing coverage of over 4,370 full text journals including a large range of material in the social sciences and humanities fields.

  • Directory of Open Access Journals

    Covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. All subject areas and languages will be covered.

  • Early English Books Online (EEBO)

    From the first book published in English through the age of Spenser and Shakespeare, this collection contains over 125,000 titles listed in Pollard & Redgrave's Short-Title Catalogue and Wing's Short-Title Catalogue.

  • ebrary Academic Complete

    A highly interactive ebook database that spans all academic subject areas. There are over 30,000 titles available for you to view in full text format. You must download the ebrary reader to access content in ebrary Academic Complete - this is available for free within the database.  Please use Internet Explorer to access ebrary.

  • HeinOnline

    HeinOnline is a comprehensive, image-based collection of legal periodicals providing access to over 900 mostly US journals. It provides exact page images in PDF format, including all charts, graphs, pictures, photographs, and footnotes. To access HeinOnline, click on SUBSCRIBERS, PLEASE CLICK HERE TO ENTER

  • House of Commons Parliamentary Papers

    Between 1801 and 2000, around 9.5 million pages for over 184,000 parliamentary papers were published. Since 2001, the number of papers has grown by approximately 4,000 for each parliamentary session. HCPP delivers searchable full text for each paper, along with a detailed subject index. Access is provided to the following collections: 19th century (1801-1900) and 20th century (1901-2003/04 session).

  • Irish Newspaper Archive

    Consists of digitised Irish news publications from 1763 onwards. It currently includes: the Freeman's Journal, Irish Independent, Sunday Independent, Irish Farmers Journal and some regional newspapers. Some of these titles are incomplete but further digitisation of these titles and the addition of new titles is ongoing.

  • Irish Statute Book

    Full text of the Acts of the Oireachtas 1922-2007, Statutory Instruments 1922-2005 and Legislation Directory 1922 to 2005

  • Irish Times

    Current issues of the Irish Times including the past 12 months

  • Irish Times Digital Archive via ProQuest Historical Newspapers

    A fully searchable digital archive of both the Irish Times (1859-2008) and the Weekly Irish Times (1876-1958)

  • JSTOR

    Journal Storage Database - full text archival database of covering 900 scholarly journals in the areas of arts & humanities, social sciences and science.

  • JUSTIS.com

    Provides access to Irish and UK case law, a complete archive of UK statute law and European Union case law and legislation. The database includes Irish Reports from 1838, significant coverage of the English Law Reports and full-text Acts of Parliament for England, Wales and Scotland dating back to the Magna Carta (1235).

    Provides access to comprehensive and authoritative legal information.

  • LexisNexis - News & Business

    Contains over 34,000 full-text sources including 12,000 news sources (eg. the Irish Times, Sunday Business Post, Business & Finance, Financial Times;) and a huge range of company, financial and industry sources.

  • Making of modern law: Legal Treatises 1800-1926

    Provides access to material relating to British and American legal history. It allows full text searching of 22,000 works including casebooks, local practice manuals, form books, works for lay readers, pamphlets, letters, speeches etc.

  • Social Science Citation Index

    Indexes over 1,725 journals across 50 social sciences disciplines. Coverage is from 1956 to present.

  • WestLaw IE

    It provides case law, legislation, journal archives, commentary, news and business information.

  • WestLaw UK

    It provides case law, legislation, journal archives, commentary, news and business information.
