Undergraduate Degrees
Our undergraduate offerings are built around the core LL.B. degree. This four year programme is designed to prepare graduates for a variety of careers including litigation, providing legal advice in transactional settings, government, compliance, regulatory agencies, public service, international agencies, non-governmental organizations, businesses, and the media, to name but a few. The B.C.L. Law and Arts degree is designed to offer an inter-disciplinary approach to law, drawing upon the university's traditional strengths in cognate disciplines in the social sciences. The B.B.L. Law and Business degree is tailored to meet the aspirations of those seeking to pursue their education at the intersection of law and business. Whether students choose the LL.B. or the B.C.L. or the B.B.L., they are guaranteed to receive the same quality of legal education. The only difference is the extent of concentration and specialisation. Thus, students unsure as to whether the law is really for them might wish to commence their education at NUI Maynooth on the B.C.L. or B.B.L. tracks before switching over to the LL.B. degree at the end of their first year or following other avenues.
