International Students
The law department at NUI Maynooth is committed to enabling international students to study law in a learning environment that cherishes the value of diversity and therefore we welcome applications from international students. We are proud to have a student body that is internationally diverse and which provides our students with a distinct international experience. Law students at NUI Maynooth are taught by faculty who are committed to creating a teaching and learning environment that facilitates the development of intellectual and practical skills essential to the practice and research of law and professions outside the legal environment. The teaching staff includes individuals who have studied, practiced and taught law in jurisdictions beyond Ireland including India, Malawi, the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Equally important and from a teaching and learning point of view, our faculty members are committed to researching the law from an international perspective and, therefore, value the different legal cultures that our international students are familiar with.

Research Seminars
As part of our commitment to research excellence the Law Department runs a research seminar series. The seminars provide an opportunity for staff, students, visiting researchers and practitioners to engage in an informed exchange of ideas and experiences on issues of interest to researchers and practitioners in particular and the wider community in general.
The Library
Law students at NUI Maynooth have access to a well equipped law library located in the John Paul II library. The library has cutting edge print, digital and multimedia resources that meet the needs of both practitioners and researchers. The physical space of the John Paul II library is specifically designed to ably support the objectives of developing law graduates capable of independent as well as collaborative learning.
